For those who want to be part of the solution.
Delivering wellbeing support, education, consultation and training via the science of optimal human functioning - Positive Psychology.
-
Wellbeing is a dynamic state of adaptive human functioning that emerges through the ongoing interaction between individuals and their internal and external environments.
It is strengthened over time through awareness, need satisfaction, intentional behaviour, flexible regulation, meaningful engagement, and responsive relationships.
Because wellbeing unfolds within complex and constantly evolving systems, the structures designed to support it must be equally fluid, adaptive, and responsive. It is our capacity to move through the human experience with flexibility that enables wellbeing. It isn’t a destination, but an experience that is continually cultivated.
Like physical health, mental health is supported through continuous and targeted engagement in productive behaviours.
Ultimately, it is specific skillsets and mindsets that produce and sustain wellbeing, both individually and collectively.

The field of Positive Psychology utilises the scientific method to measure, understand and build qualities that enable individuals, organisations and communities to thrive. Grounded in the theory and research of wellbeing science, Positive Psychology explores the mechanisms that foster excellence, resilience, collaborative culture and quality of life, whilst promoting individual and collective wellbeing and preventing psychosocial hazards.

Systems-Informed Wellbeing Support
The AaBC123 Framework
The National Mental Health Workforce Strategy 2022 - 2032 has identified mental health as one of Australia’s most pressing issues. This strategy states that almost half of us will experience a mental health condition at some point in our lives. To address this state of crisis, it is critical that responsibility does not fall only on specialist clinicians or individuals. Instead, our systems (family, work and community) must hold collective responsibility for the impact that we all have on the mental health of those we live, work and gather with.
The AaBC123 Framework is a systems-informed framework developed by Katie Ashburner of Toowoomba Positive Psychology. It was created to provide, clear, coherent, actionable and practical evidence-informed wellbeing support to individuals, groups and organisations. With four possible functions: momentary intervention, situational analysis, assessment and strategic planning tool, and three tiers of complexity, The AaBC123 Framework has the ability to support users at any level. This framework provides jargon-free language that is accessible from prep classrooms to boardrooms, guiding users to build cultures that promote mental healthand wellbeing whilst protecting against psychosocial risks and hazards.

The Positive Education Certification
(PEC) Program
Created by The Center for Positive Education, the acclaimed Positive Education Certification (PEC) Program was the first professional certification in the world specifically focused on certifying Positive Educators.
This 16-week, 64-hour certification provides the training and resources to empower and upskill those working with young people to nurture environments that support individual and collective wellbeing.
Drawing on wellbeing science, certified positive educators are equipped to support the building of emotional intelligence, emotional regulation and coping strategies, willpower, personal strengths, resilience, meaningful habits, goals and the mindsets to support increased levels of engagement, wellbeing and achievement.
Within the ever-changing complexities of the dynamic systems that we live and work in, participants will learn to build environments that foster belonging, empowerment and vitality, where all individuals can thrive.
Applied Positive Psychology Coaching
Private Sessions
Unlike consultation, mentoring or training, positive psychology coaching is a client-driven approach that integrates the latest research in wellbeing science with the coaching method to support individuals in all facets of life. The effectiveness of positive psychology coaching lies in the client-led, goal-focused, action-oriented nature of the sessions. Change is initiated as clients uncover personal insights via deep, reflective questioning. Individuals are supported to take ownership over action towards specific, meaningful and intrinsically motivated change.
Each session is grounded in the deep understanding that the client is innately resourceful and capable and, with guidance, can leverage unique opportunities to create meaningful change. Rather than “fixing what’s wrong”, each session is driven towards positive action, moving clients from where they are to where they want to be.
